30th Backpackers Contest 2025

This year's event was a record breaker, but unfortunately, for all the wrong reasons.  Only 34 stations made one or more of the 75 entries in the series, the lowest totals ever.

Many congratulations to seemingly invincible Steve, G1YBB/P with his 9th appearance on the Backpackers trophy. Andrew, G4XZL/P secured second place, repeating his performance in 2023, in no small part due to his impressive win in the final event.  John, G(W)4CZB/P finished in third place for the third year running.

With the absence of two-times winner Wayne, MW0LKX/P from this year's contest, Martin, G4GFI/P put in a barnstorming performance to record his first victory in the Hilltoppers section, with four wins out of the five events. Neill, G4HLX/P improved one place on last year's third with newcomer Tim, M0AFJ/P taking the final podium place, despite only partaking in two events.
