This event was on our club meeting evening so we decided
to let
our members have a go in the contest to show them how
it happens
Partially successful, though this entry is most definitely
not
error free! A temporary longwire was put up, this initially
refused
to match and had to be lengthened after much frantic
activity.
We may get one or two new entries next year, but don't
hold your breath!

G4BUO
After GB5HQ at the weekend I could only spare half an
hour for this
week's contest. Coming on for only the last 30 minutes
is a good way of
generating a pileup!
G4DBS
A very active contest 20db of attenuation helped
G4DBX
Another very good contest, good conditions and QRM not
too bad.
G4EBK
Plenty of stations on but I had a struggle
reading them in the mush. Guess these old
ears are not as good as they should be.
G4EDG
not as hard going as i thought it would be!
G4ELZ
Quite a struggle!
G4FKA
Best score to date. A nice way to end the SSB legs for
this season.
G4GZB
Enjoyable and not too noisy at this QTH
G4JRY
happy to work 113 with genuine 100 watts !!!!
G4KNO
Lots of activity this time, reflected in the higher
number of Q's.
Paid the price for not bagging a frequency beforehand
again.
G4LRP/P
It's amazing what you can work with just 5 watts
portable from the top of the Southdowns.
G4ODM
very lively band tonight!
G4RCD
Found it difficult to find a run frequency as only just
got QRV as the contest began. Most of contest spent
searching but rates improved greatly when we got our
own frequency though QRM was building throughout.
G4VTO
good condt good fun
G6BOX
A nice end to the SSB section.
G6FOP
Busy contest late start as had to share station
with 2e0kop
G7HCL
Very enjoyable contest
G7TWC
Great fun. Much better this leg.
G7VRK
GOOD CONTEST LOT OF STATIONS TONIGHT
1st time worked this contest will do so agn next year
G8FMJ/P
Great fun really enjoyed this year
GM0EGI
hard going tonight vertical antena was not the best
for
sd worked great again
GM0ELP
Very busy
Some stations using qrz instead of callsign
Some stations noticably over driving audio input
Conditions excellent into G
So busy could not find clear freq to call cq
M3TBK
Very high activity at first but fell off, doing s&p
by end.
Well done to RSGB for such a successful contest-can't
wait for January!

Nice and friendly contest. SGC SG-2020 set to 10W out,
feeding
a 42m off-centre fed dipole up 5m.
Please note that some operators still use C&DARC's
old name
"Cambridge and District Amateur Radio Society".
It is the
same club.
2E0MJD
A really anjoyable end to this round of contests.
Looking forward to next year!
G0AOJ
THE BAND WAS VERY CROWDED
INPOSIBLE TO FIND SOMEWHERE TO CALL CQ
HAD TO HUNT AND POUNCE ALL WAY THROUGH THE CONTEST
G0EUN
VERY POOR CONDITIONS VERY NOISY
G0FYX
Stations must be reminded that there is a 100W power
limit for these contests.
G0IBN
no g3gll? so very quiet. how do they get scores
of 120????
G0IIQ
Band very noisy - improved towards end of contest
G0JLF
Best score yet. Actually found a frequency to run on
for a bit!
G0KPZ
GOOD LAST SSB CLUB CONTEST - QRN AT THE END
G0KYS
Discovered long wire broken an hour before contest!
Managed to join the broken ends for a temporary aerial.
I got lucky on the 'Find a frequency' lottery this time
Perhaps the contest should be in less sociable hours
to
avoid over crowding. How about 3-4.30am :-')
G0MRH
Band appeared to be in a fairly good condition
for my location this time. Managed to find a slot
to call in and to keep it going for a while in spite
of the creepers who try to push one out
G0MTN
Really nice way to finish off the 'SSB' season. Was
able to
run for a while at the start. FB rate / great fun.
It all went wrong of course but still enjoyed the
activity. See you all next year. 73 de Lee.
FT1000MP / 100w / Windom
G0OKF
Conditions appeared good- Antenna is poor.
G0VGS
Condx much better than last month and a very enjoyable
contest. SD perfect as always!
G3CWI
Late start due to football. Game was so poor, contest
would have been more
interesting. Ran 100W for a change.
G3GJW
Cannot honestly remember when I last did a contest -
probably cw about 40 years ago! I duplicated giving
contest number 6
G3HRH
Late start but plenty to work S&P
Good conditions but some EU QRM inside the contest band
We conceded 50 kHz for such ordinary QSOs
which should be enough
Looking forward to 2006
G3JIR
Please change the rules so that the 'big guns' can't
just
sit on the same frequency forever calling QRZ. Why not
make
them leave the frequency for the calling station, who
will then have to move after their next QSO ? Similar
to the ROPOCO rule.
G3KNU
Conditions very good.Enjoyed it this time.
G3LDI
Amazing lack of static this time. Nice to see some
good manners within a contest too.
G3LHJ
HARD GOING
G3LIK
Conditions up and down some very strong signals
which had large splatter either side.
Consider the power output should be restricted to
100 watts and not more with so many stations on.
Do not enjoy SSB so much as CW
G3MXH
Found the band very active . Tried a new antenna
a half wave dipole instead of the 175ft doublet.
It seemed to perform much better.
Very enjoyable session.

By far my best total in this, or the 2004, series. Whoever,
strangely,
vacated 3774.5 early on deserves my thanks for I've
never before managed to
keep a run frequency for over an hour.
G3OLB
Transceiver TS850
Antenna - Half wave end-fed sloper
Things were really moving fast - great fun!
G3PDH
What a racket nearly finished so we can all go on
holiday!
G3RCV/P
Supervised by Ralph M0MYC, great contest nice pile ups!
G3SET
THANK YOU
G3SNU
slow start as usual-but condx best so far.
G3SXW
QRP on SSB is pure masochism !
Thanks to all who struggled with my
weak signals.

encouraged
LOTS of activity that's what it's all about.

Operating from a temp QTH near Leeds with a very low
dipole
that wouldn't tune up below 3630. Didn't help the score!
G3ZBE
Started about 16 mins late!
G3ZBU
excellent going tonight with very little static.
unlike the last few contest sessions.
G3ZGC
Ok but I could not get a clear spot at the start!
Confusion as one station QRZ? GC and myself and G7UGC
called!
G4ARN/P
band was very full this time conditiond seemed fair
some stations were "reserving the frequency"
by holding
qso's before the contest on the band
G4BGW
Plenty of activity (and QRM!) but very frustrating when
S&P and all you get is QRZ? with no callsign! Perhaps
the rules should be changed to ensure callsign is sent
after every contact.
GU4EON
Hard work this time only 75 QSO's in 90min!
M0AJT
Condx good plenty of activity a most enjoyable contest.
Lincolnshire just does not seem to happen.
M0CES
Busy band .Run qrp in cw ok but ssb was a little more
difficult getting into folks.
M0CMQ
ok but I find SSB difficult to tune, lots of QRN,
condx better in the lower band section 2215.
M0COP
Great contests
Looking forward to next years
SD works great.
M0MCX
Started slow for me as I was late from work. Managed
to find a slot but found
it was too busy with QRM. Went S&P until at about
9:30, I found 3.623 fairly
clear apart from a couple of French stations waffling
and I just ran to the
line for one hour. ALways Great Fun! See you all next
year, Callum, M0MCX
M0MDF
Enjoyed it !
