G4ARN/P
band conditions good this time
please bear in mind the comments i've made previously
i.e. run the contest at LOCAL TIME instead of GMT
for the benefit of those who have to work the next day
thanks
G4BGW
Good conditions with plenty of activity but where
were all the CARA ops?
G4CKH
Band busy and enjoyed yet again.
G4FKA
High noise level throughout. However best ever QSO total
so can't complain!
G4FNL
35 MINS LATE IN STARTING. GOOD FUN TO TRY AND PUSH UP
THE RATE
G4GZB
Good CondX
G4IRN
fIRST ENTRY IN THIS CONTEST; GOOD FUN.
G4OIG
A certain G0 stood out head and shoulders above all
others
in operating technique!
Perhaps a lesson for the older licencees to remember.
G4SLE
VERY NOISY AT THIS QTH
TKS TO ALL FOR CONTACTS
USED SD AND TKS PAUL
G4VXE
Just a quick few minutes of S&P
GM0EGI
my first single op cw contest
sd worked great for my first attempt of using it
GM0ELP
Enjoyed the contest
Used hunt and pounce and cq this time
contacts seemed to come in waves of small pile ups
Seemed less busy with people keeping their distance
Signals in general were down
GU4CHY/P
My first bash at this contest and really enjoyed it
despite having to use a paddle after the computer sent
more gobbldygook than I did! Look forward to the next
one. Thanks to GU4EON for the use of his station.
GU4WTN
First CC in a long while, enjoyed it very much. Pity
I lost half an hour due to interuptions.
GW4ALG
Activity slightly down, but still good fun.
Elecraft K2 at 5 watts to an inverted V doublet.
M0CES
GOOD NIGHT AS BAND WAS OK
M0CMQ
GOOD CONTEST QUITE BUSY AND CONDX GUD.
Pleased with my new 20m wire over-the roof
antenna.Worked from the Midlands, East Anglia, London(local)
to Bristol and Bath in the
West country. Enjoyed the evening!
M0MDF
Good contest - conditions were quite good.
M3CVN
Only a little go this time
MM0CEZ

SOAPBOX:
G0EUN
GOOD CONTEST BUT FOUND OPERATORS WERE
A LTTLE TOO FAST FOR ME!!!
G0IBN
G3GLL stopped after 33 so it was bliss after that
G0IOR
Must do more CW operating, very rusty..
G0MTN
Didn't run at all well to start with... tried a
couple of different freqs. Had a better rate going
S+P on second VFO. Then I was playing catch up all
the way. Not a great session for me.....
G0RAF
Good conditions - some nice slick sending !!!!
but auto morse at 40 + stretched the mind !!!!!
G0RDO
BETTER THAN PREVIOUSLY AS PUT UP A G5RV AS HIGH AS POSS
G0VQR
Great fun. I still think it is to fast for the beginner.
Bring back the QRS contest.
G0WWD
Plenty of activity
G3GLL
Lots of activity. Pity I could only stay for
the first half-hour
G3HKO
SEEMED TO GET A FEW CONTINENTALS BUT
STILL NOT GETTING THE NUMBERS
G3HRH
Fatal PC error so hand keyed and paper logged
Apologies to those who suffered my bugambic
Conditions good in IO70 but not as busy as usual
G3JRM
long learning curve on new rig hence the not so satisfy
score still had a good time on a very busy band
G3KKQ
Had a flying start until PC Crashed
Well supported and just the right length for me! Still
time
to go to the pub afterwards
G3LDI
Noticing a lot of "unmodified" FT1000MP's
out there
with awful key clicks!
G3LET
Rather disappointing. Started off OK, S&P followed
by a good 20 minute run, keeping up with the lads,
but then ran into trouble and never found a decent
slot again. Conditions and activity pretty good
with very low noise level.
G3LHJ
seemed to be more spaces this time managed to hold
one freq right through contest - good fun
G3LIK
Quite good conditions again and some good operators
Nice to see a lot of friendly callsigns
G3NCN/P
The first 7 qsos were made omitting the /p from my call
had to use paper log and check log on site
/p qth Stoney Cross nr Cadnam New Forest.
G3OLB
Transceiver TS850
Antenna - Half wave end-fed sloper
Settled on 3525 as a nice clear frequency for the
first hour until a loud RTTY came up! S&Ping from
then on.
Bit disconcerted by the Surrey station who changed from
his
club call sign to his own call half way through our
QSO!
G3PSM
The band appeared very noisy not helped by trying to
use my 40 - 10 metre vertical for the first 10 minutes!
G3SET
VG CONDITIONS.
G3SJJ
Conditions generally good with only slight static. Plenty
to work even at the end.
G3SXW
Ignore frequency, 3525 is nominal (no rig control here)
QRP Section
G3TBK
NOT AS BUSY AS USUAL TONIGHT
QRN HIGH, SIGNALS GENERALLY LOW
G3TKF
Poor start but picked up
G3TLH
Conditions rather down on previous month maybe due to
daylight conditions later in the year. Contacts with
QRP did not come so easily. Still enjoyed the short
contest
G3UFY
RIG - FT1000MP
ANTENNAS - Loop
Could only manage 30 minutes - quite pleased with results!
G3VIP
RIG FT301S 10W - ANTENNA 40M LW - homebrew logger
NOT MANY STATIONS IN QRS SECTION
G3VQO
mainly S&P - good rate for first 45 minutes then
ran
out of new stations for a while. Tried CQing for last
20 minutes to good find last elusive callers.
G3WRR
RIG - TenTec Orion
ANTENNAS - Inverted L, 50ft top at 20ft
Lost 25 minutes ferrying my son to the pub.....
Conditions didn't seem so good this time -
only heard 2 GMs, and this time I wasn't able to hold
a
frequency with 10W.
G3WVG
TS930 running 100W + Dipole....
What a great idea these 80M contests are.
Month by month it is apparent that skill levels are
increasing.
G3WZT
Slow going for me this time but lovely compared to the
pain of the RTTY leg.
G3XSV
Had a great frequency to start with.
My best effort so far I think.
G3XWK
RIG - SG2020, 20 WATTS
ANTENNAS - LONG WIRE
LAST CONTEST FROM G, BEFORE QSY TO FRANCE.
G3YEC
Band quite noisy with static but settled down by 2100z
Some continentals still "mess around and jam"
we Brits
Thought they would have allowed 90 minutes by now !!
G3YMC
Another good contest, though I thought both conditions
and activity
were down this time. Certainly I got very little success
from CQing
and at times stations were struggling to copy my 5W
signals.
Maybe some of the key players are away on holiday!
73 Dave
G3ZBE
I've never had such a clear frequency for the whole
of
a contest Some one must have been looking out for me!
G3ZHE
Fair condx, noise late on, lots of fun.
G4AIU
Once again a very enjoyable contest.
YL3DX
Very bad condx again, especialy in the first hour of
the contest. 73 & DX, Alec/YL3DX.
