SOAPBOX: G0AOJ Very poor band conditions G0KPZ Band conditions good - first data contest. G0MTN Highest activity yet for a RTTY contest - well done guys. But please listen and learn - the difference between last weekend's WPX contest and tonight was marked. Wide signals.. Slow responses to calls... Very long exchanges with unecessary information. There's a lot of info been written about how to do things a bit better. Someone or something managed to wipe out the PSK slot for a while - it really was just noise. I've never seen that before. I lost established frequencies a couple of times. Nice to contact Alex SQ9UM before being kicked off my first freq. Even some very well known contesters must have had some sort of AFC on as I followed them up 150 Hz whilst trying to give them a point ! G0ORH My First Rtty effort. I hope do better next time round. Used MMTTY. All was OK until I lost the log!!! G0RKT Perfect Conditions on rtty an enjoyable night G0VDZ One day I will get used to data contests! G3KKQ Activity up on last time. Band conditions not so good with QSB in evidence. Must get going on RTTY G3KLH QRM very heavy, nearly as bad as the SSB leg G3KNU Much better conditions this time. G3LDI Better inter-G propagation this time! G3LHJ Lost first 20min due to prog curuption, no com port had to manual PTT, needed another "hand" but managed. (had to re-install prog day after) G3NPF First RTTY contest I have ever entered hence the low score. Give me a fone contest any day. G3ORY Some decent propagation at last. G3RSD Sorry to say the computer crashed and I lost all my log bar one. G3SWC What excellent condx for once with plenty of activity! G3VIP CONDX MUCH IMPROVED - PSK NOT SO GOOD G3VQO better conditions than last time - even found a few PSK stations to work G3WZT ACTIVITY IN THE DATA MODE DEFINITELY ON THE INCREASE. QRM LEVELS HIGHER COMPARED WITH FEBRUARY TEST. G3ZBE What is it about RTTY? - I always have hardware and software problems! Good condx.... poor operator? G3ZBU Plenty of activity tonight and condx very good for the full duration this time. G4EBK Could hear them couldn't work them. Rapid QSB again G4FPH Condx vy gd tonight. Rig hot enough to fry an egg! G4KZD First time on rtty after 30 years!!! G4ODM Too many keyboards. Prefer paper log! G4OGB Surprised inter-G condx so good, while working GM & DL early on G4SLE A BUSY 20KHZ, VERY GOOD EVENING G4VXE Much better conditions - but had to be a part time effort tonight! G6BOX Ah, a much better showing from January. Very enjoyable sprint. G8MKO Very variable propagation through session GM4AFF Great fun and lots of activity. I know there were many stations which I never worked. GU0SUP First one after breaking an arm! Conditions were great, with many loud signals. GW0ETF Very first data contest. New mode, new software and new problems but enjoyable all the same.... GW4BLE ARRGGHH!!!! Well, at least it was only 90 minutes, what a mess - - why do I bother with this data stuff ;-) Apologies to all for the cock-ups! This just isn't my mode ! GW5NF Good to see many new calls. Condx. Good. M0AEU Great!!! Used the WPX RTTY contest at the weekend to warm up. Conditions lovely tonight. Worked all I could hear and still not over 30!!! Need better QTH! M0ANM Conditions poor worked 12 stns + 1 dupe, failed to obtain serial number and report from three stations. Apart from that I enjoyed the contest. M0BKH WOW - My first entry into an RTTY contest, what have I been missing all these years! M0GJH First time on datamodes M5CSM Best session so far!!
