G4BRA
This was our club evening. I set up the CC station in
the hall
while the other members set up an SSB station at the
other end of the church. It was a great success - those
not used to HF CW contests could marvel at my QSO rate
and at the same time have a few SSB QSOs themselves.
Activity seemed down and nothing at all from GM or Europe.
Thunder static was noticeable after 9pm but didn't really
cause a problem. Please have an SSB session on one of
our club evenings next year!
73 Dave G3YMC - single operator, tried to get the other
members to have a go but they declined...
G4BUO
Struggled to 104. No-one answered my CQs so most were
S&P
G4DDX
conditions are certainly much better
now and more enjoyable. Shows up a poor antenna
G4ELZ
Computer kept crashing due to rf problem. Next door
neigbours digital TV requires 'fixing'!
G4ERW
S9 rain static made it hard going after 9pm!
G4FKA
Conditions a bit variable but a nice steady rate with
no QRM.
G4FNL
Can't compete with the others further
up country. Good fun nonetheless
G4FPH
Static was bad tonight.
G4GZB
Enjoyed encouraging the rest!
I used SD and liked it.
G4LPD
FT920 + DIPOLE
GU0SUP
Where was everyone? The bands seemed much quieter this
time.
I guess the football may have taken preference, or was
it
purely poor propagation?
GW3KDB
TS 930 Doublet at 45ft.
Activity well down guess the World Cup dont help.
GW4ALG
Conditions seemed to be a bit down, with very few mainland
Europe stations worked. It was still great fun, and
nice to hear some new participants this time.
Home made transceiver. Five watts to a G5RV.
M3CVN
What a diffrence finding a run frequncy at the start
of the contest
makes. Managed to hold it till the very end. FT-1000MP,
10Watts, Full
Size G5RV @ 33ft
PA0FAW
I could not go to my friend's-qth so I had to do the
test from my home with 30w indoor lw and S9 qrn and
qrn from electric busses from abt 200m to the bussta-
tion so just a few points to give away.

had to leave earlier - football match was waiting on

F/G3MXH/P
Very heavy QRN to match a very difficult callsign !
G0ADH
Enjoyable but a little noisy at times
G0GDU
Good Condx - my best result yet - all on search &
pounce
FT1000 with 10W into W3DZZ @ 26ft
G0GFQ
My first attempt at the 80m CC CW contest, enjoyed myself
although my CW is extremely rusty!!
G0GKP
Hard work
G0JLF

G0NVY
good contest
G0RAF
good contest
G0RDO
GREAT FUN AS USUAL BUT CNDX POOR HERE DOWN IN DEEPEST
DEVON.
g0uiq
not bad
G0VJG
used sd very good
G0VQR
Great contest. hard going at times.
G3HKO
FOUR SCORE YEARS DID NOTHING FOR MY CC SCORE
WILL TRY HARDER NEXT TIME
G3HRH
Nice activity
No real QRM this far to the South West
Steady signals with little QSB
G3JRM
A very pleasant evenings activity
all conducted in a very friendly atmosphere
super!
G3KLH
Aerial much too low for daylight conditions from the
south coast
G3KNU
Lack of activity maybe the football DL V SP
G3LHJ
plenty of activity again - one gremlin crept in, my
glasses fell to bits in the middle of test - took me
5mins to repair them Hi.
G3LIK
Good showing as usual and conditions for UK good too.
G3LZQ
Much different with a dipole at 18ft towers horizontal
at present
preparing for GB5HQ.
G3MIR
I used SD for logging - it's great.
G3OLB
Got the impression activity was down a little tonight.
G3PDH
Good fun and my new 80m dipole seemed to have improved
my signal.
G3RZF
MUCH IMPROVED SCORE THIS TIME!
G3SXW
Lower activity tonight.
G3TKF
Conditions just "stopped" from 2100hrs - hopeless!
G3TLH
A bit harder going this time. Much static. I seem to
be
getting addicted to this contest!
G3TWG
An enjoyable session
G3TXF
Spent entire 90 minutes CQ'ing with ultra-short 1x1
CQ's on 3534kHz.
G3VCA
Good conditions with a low noise level
G3VIP
RIG FT301S - 10W - 40M LW - HOMEBREW LOGGER
Band condx quiet not that many really strong signals
enjoyable.
G3VQO
just a few QSOs during half-time in the Germany v
Poland match
G3VYI
good condx nice to work all
G3YEC
Plenty of noise but eventually settled as evening
drew on. I ended up on exactly 3550 at 1950z and was
working away OK and three stations just jumped on the
frequency when the other station was sending who they
obviously couldnt/wouldnt hear !!
G3YHV
NOISY BAND WHICH WENT VERY SLOW AFTER 2100
G3ZBU
I couldn't put up the usual inverted V so the far leg
of the antenna had to meander around the garden about
6 feet up!
The SWR was good so I guess most of the power (10W)
went into the ground.
G3ZGC
Problems at the start. The rig auto atu kept doing a
re tune. I had previously disconnected the antenna
due to lightning and had not screwed the PL259 up enough!
Rig IC775DSP 100w to 132 ft lw up about 33 ft in a 55
ft long garden.
G3ZHE
I said I would use pc logging prog for this contest
but my pc
went sick an hour before the contest so for one more
time it
was a paper log later turned into a cabrillo E mail
G4ARN/P
band conditions better at this qth
G4OIG
Antenna fault remedied at last - the traps are now connected!
G4RCG
Started off really good but died off after 30 mins
then had to go S & P to find stations No real DX
neithe
but still had a lot of fun
G4ZFE
100W and indooor trapped dipole in loft. Tough going
but fun. Some very good ears out there!!
g7vrk
2ND GO AT CW SEEMED VERY QUIET LOT OF STATIC
GM0ELP
Good band conditions low QRN with good S/N ratio
Low GM turn out. Numbers seemed down from last time
SD ESM worked well for NFD and seems bedded in now
S&P seemed more effective than CQ for the first
time
M3WCK
It was quite disappointing for me. There was little
activity at the QRP region of the band where I usually
get the slower operators. The more casual ops must
have been watching the football. Consequently I had
to get contacts with higher speed ops which slowed
me down.
M0CES
another good nite
