G4GZB My results are modest but enjoyed joining the fray! SD was my friend again! G4IRN Couldn't stay on for long as I had to prepare for going om holiday the following morning. G4JRY Funny conditions G4OGB Good start but turned very noisy, perhaps the 'clear' frequency I found, wasn't so clear! G4OOC SD really is excellent it makes logging easy I Recommend SD to Everybody its great G4RCD Enjoyable contest. Had one ear on baby monitor to keep check on Junior Op - Joseph, but he slept through! Is this classed as Single Operator 2 Radios??! G4RCG Condx were really bad for me with a jammer sat on top of me for the 1st 30mins after which I gave up and went searching and pouncing Not a good session for me G4SLE yes I always use sd and thankyou tried qrp tonight for a change and tks to all for pts G4WGE Seemed a bit quieter than last CW event GM0ELP Lots of G3's working each other, getting in after everyone else has finished, vy frustrating and hence the low score. Some DX creeping in in the last half hour to keep me busy. Good practice for field day and CQWW WPX CW. Thanks to all who worked me. GM3ZBE Started half an hour late and never really got going! Inter UK conditions seemed quite good - surprising from here this late in the year GM4OSS A bit of a struggle high - noise levels etc ... GW3KDB Activity didnt seem so good this time, lots of CQ,s with no answer. M0AAA I had big problems with the old antenna. By the time I had the new G5RV up only had 15 mins left. M0AJT Very noisy but able to pick them out, unlike that other mode, SSB. M0MDF condx not too bad M0PTO Not great conditions, but still fun. M0RBG Very enjoyable not much QRM M0SEL Really struggled. MM0RKT Massive increase in QRN after 19:40Z |
SOAPBOX: Only a part time effort after dinner for 20min 2E0KOP busy band great fun, tnx fer the qsos DK3UZ TX VFO-BU-DR-PA (Drake 2-NT wid vfo Hallicrafters HA-5), 5w out. RX SSSH29 (Siemens E311b). AER Guywire Pyramid, fed via open-wire line and remote controlled true symmetric (double pi) coupler. KEY Hallicrafters HA-1 wid Vibrokeyer paddle G0ADH Very warm in shack - Fingers sticking to paddles leading to even worse CW than usual....Sorry !! G0DVJ Long Skip conditions. Bad start. Not a good session for me G0EUN Quite good conditions stations close together! Lower down the band exccess speed used! G0GDU very late on parade but did better than expected in the time G0GFQ Interesting Evening, enjoyable as always! G0KYS First entry using PC generated CW. I'm getting there Just the last half hour. G0MTN After WPX, I cannot remember much about this one... I guess it was reasonably fun ? Oh yes, lots of weak signals and a noisy band. G0OKF Somewhat noisy band for me. SD performs excellent as usual. Struggle with 40 watts and poor antenna. G0RDO Hard going down yur in Devon G0TAM/P First contest SD worked well G0UHM Yes I did enjoy it G0WBC Late on parade as it was a very pleasant evening and went out to help a mate do some training with his birds of prey. Enjoyed giving a few points away! G3GLL SD fine - winkey dodgy! G3HEJ Nice contest... plenty stations etc. SD logging fine but checking was difficult G3HKO Good start but not easy to keep it up on 3 watts Thanks to all including N1MM G3HRH Not so busy this session with less QRM Increasingly heavy static required a number of repeats G3JRM very busy band not reflected in the score unfortunatly G3LDI Spent 50 minutes chasing a software problem, Finally remembered I had unplugged the G3LHJ Good condx nice to see several different call signs this time cu in the next one 73 de Derrick. G3NCN enjoyable. QRN heavy G3OLB/M Not a bad result using a 6 ft mobile whip from Coverack in Cornwall! Conditions were awful so thanks to all who struggled with my puny mobile signal! G3PDH/P Operated from national caravan club rally at Blenheim Palace grounds. Unfortunately QRP and poor SWR so apologies to all those struggling to hear me G3PHO My first attempt at a CW contest using computer software (Wintest). Should be used to the macro keys by the next one! G3RCM Could only do an hour I had to go to work! good fun and good conditions. G3TBK Condx good at start, but diabolical in last 20 minutes FT11000MP, Dipole at 75 ft. G3TLH Conditions not so good again so scores generally seemed to be down on last time. G3TXF Stuck to 3534 throughout, but with the occasional attempt at making a QSO on the second VFO. This often resulted in missing the start of the callsign of a station calling on my 'main' frequency. G3UFY RIG - FT1000MP - 100W ANTENNAS - Loop Ah, Summer is cumin in ... S8 steady noise with 20 over QRN crashes. G3UJE Conditions in the north-west were poor with much noise and heavy QRN crashes. Enjoyable event though. G3VCA A lot shorter skip initially, but deep QSB a little later. A number of over keen operators out there - its a hobby. 2 Wave Delta Loop & ICOM 756 PRO 111. G3VIP RIG IC7000 10W Dipole Homebrew logger Condx reasonable at start hvy QRN at the end G3VMW Activity seemed a bit down but still plenty to work at the end. Signals generally good with a bit of QRN here. G3VQO A strange contest!! There didn't seem to be so much activity as usual - gaps to be found in the wall-to-wall noise! The "market leaders" seemed more prone to be pressing the wrong button tonight - perhaps trying a new set-up for WPX? Nice to hear a few, obviously-new, QRS stations this evening - welcome, and I hope you'll be back. G3WRR Band very noisy. Used WINKEY with SD in anger for the first time - excellent! G3WVG 100W + dipole at 65ft. G3YAJ Lovely quiet band G3YHV Very noisy band tonight G3YMC The band was very noisy tonight with a combination of thunder static and various data noises, which meant many stations had problems copying my QRP signals. So the end result is a little lower than it should have been. Next month I shall be on from our club QTH as G4BRA, hopefully to generate more club interest in next years challenge. 73 Dave G3YMC G3ZGC 100w IC775DSP to 132 ft wire wrapped into 55 ft garden. Good conditions but lots of static tonight. G3ZHE The normal hard slog from north Cheshire. 30ft asl with a 140ft doublet at 30ft Lots of fun though G3ZRJ Quite a good turn out tonight with very varied propagation. Good sigs from GM and northern EU at times G4BUO Lots of QRM tonight, including fishfone wiping out the bottom part of the sub-band. Bad QRN in the second half of the contest as well G4ERW Good fun as usual. Much static QRN though! G4FKA Much better rate this evening. Some jamming but not too serious. Conditions variable but we hung on in there! |
