Contest went well until last 30 minutes when
conditions changed. SD + Winkey worked fine!
G4RCG
Very surprised how good condx were after the terrible
SSB session, stayed on my run qrg until 20 mins from
the end and then managed to pick off the few I had
not worked, great fun, love this contes
G4TQF
Enjoyed the contest, quite daunting in the QRS coral!
S & P in the main arena is awesome. Everyone very kind and patient,
so thanks for waiting for me. Obviously need more practice, 20+ wpm is
clearly not fast enough.
Could hear but Unable to work any GM's. Would intra G QRM/propogation
be better if the contest started one hour earlier? Good format for a
contest, support is appreciated.
G4WGE
Did the HFCC website stop working? Suddenly realised I didn't know the
permitted band segment! Had to start off as S&P until I worked out
where the limits were!
G4ZFE
Great condx and my best score yet. K3/100 to trapped inverted L at 24 feet
G7VRK
Not my best mode
G8LED
Skip lengthened in the last half hour.
GM0ELP
Good turn out. Some big signals from G. Thanks to all who worked me
GM3ZBE
Had the antenna masts wound right down due to high winds hence only
20ft high at the most. Event was slow going tonight G stations dropped
a lot after 21:00
GM4OSS
Could have done with more QSO's
GW3KDB
FT1000mp 100 Watts Doublet @ 45Feet.
GW3PRL
Started well running, after 22 mins laptop packed up! Thence paper logging. Good 100W contest - not like AFS with Mega stations
GW4BLE
One hour - QRP only - 10 Watts.
M0AAC
good fun as usual not able to do as much as i like
easier each time
M0BPQ
Came home late from work and had a quick tune around to give points
away. I suspect the better conditions were earlier on! K2, 10W,
Inverted L
M0CNP
At last conditions were considerably improved last night, so the rest
of the contest series is to be looked forward to. Thanks everyone for
the points.
M0JEC
Started Late had some technical issues and am a novice morse operator
and couldn't find any other QRS stations I could read. FT-817 running 5W
M0MDF
good condx and short skip
M0NZA
Very enjoyable contest with loads of stations kept me busy throughout! Thanks for the contacts
PA3AM
Wonderful evening, strong signals, no QRM/N and lots of good CW OP's. I
was 19 minutes too late, but nevertheless 64 stations in the log.

excellent condx into the UK as always at the beginning of the year
G0ADH
Conditions about average for February
G0AJJ
Just worked a few .....was busy cooking evening meal!
G0DAY
Conditions started off well but at 9 pm here everything
fell through the floor Deep QSB and weak signals but
made it to the end Gets a struggle with QRP at times
G0DVJ
Pretty good conditions
G0EUN
Poor conditions this QTH.
G0FYX
Good activity but I found the band noisy here. SD good as usual
G0IBN
enjoyed myself
G0JLF
Better conditions but a late start. All S&P
G0LHZ
Great fun - conditions very good here
G0MTN
Fine until 9pm.
G0OKF
Extremely noisy. After 2100 hrs 59+ noise. SD - ever reliable.
G0RDO
Had good fun and the time sailed by!
G0VZQ
New to using Morse so will need a lot of practise
G0WWD
Conditions were very good
G3GLL
SD ok with WK2. A nice contest- conditions good- lots of
stations to work- thanks to all.
G3HRH
Quite busy and very noisy from 21.00 0nwards
G3JRM
little noisey here at the club shack though it does not excuse my poor showing. Looking for better things in the March event
G3KLH
Good strong signals right up to the end
G3KNU
Skip went long at 2100hrs
G3LDI
Better conditions tonight, in fact quite a quiet band for a change!
Except for the FT1K key clix, still a lot of those that need mods! Nice
to work a UA9 on a very low dipole too.
G3LHJ
Great condxs and activity - best score so far
G3LIK
Good conditions for a change and great to meet a lot of
friends in the contest. Great logging with SD
G3MIR
enjoyable with SD
G3NCN
SD is a great programme.
Loved the contest though I don't seem to improve!!!
G3OLB
Conditions excellent - a really good run!
G3PHO
Found it hard to make long runs so went to search and pounce..
slow going. Then my XYL had a TV problem that took me out of the shack
at a critical time!! Many S9+ signals at start faded down into noise
near end of contest.
G3RCM
Could only manage 1 hour of the contest tonight as I had to get off to
work, still good to hear the band in good shape with lots of UK
contacts available. I had a very high QRN noise level tonight for some
reason making copy difficult at times
G3RSD
Used sd worked perfectly
G3SET
Very good conditions. Enjoyed getting through on QRP
G3SVD
My first attempt at using WinTest and the contest went well for me. I
had to do some modification of the macros "on the fly" but
seemed to go well. A bit more practice then perhaps I'll try
running rather than S&P. Practice, practice, practice. 73 Andy
G3TBK
Surprising how much inter-G condx have improved since the SSB leg.
G3TLH
Good conditions unusually for first CC contest this year
G3UFY
RIG - FT1000MP. ANTENNAS - Vertical Loop
Wish my vertical loop would work this well all year.
Sadly, things will only get worse!
G3VIP
RIG IC7000 10W - DIPOLE - HOMEBREW LOGGER
More stations still a struggle on QRP.
G3WRR
At least conditions were better than the SSB leg! Went quite well till
about 20 minutes before the end. Couldn't hold a frequency for any
length of time with my small antenna. SD / Winkey worked well as usual.
G3WVG
ft1000mp (100W version) + dipole at 60ft
G3YAJ
Good Signals
G3YEC
Started on time then interupted by plumber to see about
new boiler !
G3YHV
Band faded out in last 15 mins !
G3YMC
Good first session for 2008 with reasonable conditions for inter G. But
propagation lengthened in the last half hour and the G signals became
quite weak, hence my score lower than expected. I also thought activity
was slightly down. 73 Dave
G3ZBU
First use of the key for a while! Plenty of activity.
G3ZGC
IC775DSP 100w to 132 ft wire up 40 ft in 55 ft garden
Conditions changed about 2110.
G3ZHE
A better night but a typical north cheshire struggle Hi.
756pro3 100w, 90ft doublet at 30ft
G3ZRJ
Sorry to not manage the full contes. Ttrapped nerve made my hand go to sleep so decided to give up. Condx seemed good
I hope to fully participate in the remaining contests
G3ZVW
Conditions excellent - and plenty of activity. Tnx all!
G4ARN/P
Locxal qrm caused problems
G4BZP
FARS member despite not being in Furness at time of
the contest.
G4CKH
Nice quiet band for a change, a joy to operate in the contest.
G4DDX
Disaster struck when I did not notice the PSU plug had come out so
about half way the computer went dead. It took me 20mins to get it
running again and complete the contest. Conditions a lot better than
ssb leg.
As always I used SD, it's so easy.
G4EBK
Condx fair at the start, last half hour poor.
G4FAL
Nice to hear some stations outside South Yorkshire
G4FKA
Splendid!
G4FNL
Condx certainly better for inter-G QSO's than the previous SSB contest.
Unfortunately my home set up isn't competitive enough for contesting -
hence a poorish score. I used SD for logging - but all sending by key
because it's quicker!
G4GZB
SD works great. Better than the operator
No excessive QRN or QRM tonite
G4IYC
condx fair
G4JRY
Conditions suddenly dropped off around 21:00
G4OGB
Condx gradually improving. Nice to hear some 'new' calls, some 'OT's' not heard. SD worked well
G4OOC
SD Performed 100% as usual
G4PIQ
Just thrown a small antenna up at temporary QTH in town. Ran QRP
this time so as not to bring interference complaints out immediately.
Many stations CQ-ing in my face and calling CQ a complete waste of
time. Clearly need to improve the antenna. Family not very
co-operative either so not a fully concentrated entry - late on and
lots of dipping in and out. Propagation seemed good for first hour, but
then went long
with folks under 300km dropping 20dB. Rig : K2, 10W, 30m inv-L, top @ 6m + lousy lossy ground system
