Individual Sessions - 7th JULY CW
G4OGB Two mins to go, screen went blank, rebooted, started off S & P, then keyer set off at 60+wpm. Still, it was fun, and SD worked OK. G4OOC Band Condx were very noisy As usual I really did enjoy using SD G4OSB One and a half hours well spent. The time went as quick as a flash. All operators in a good mood - thank you G4RCD I was late on (again). radio was still packed up after VHF NFD Spent a lot of time S&P. Lots of people thought I was G4RCG tonight. G4RCG A nice an steady session, great for the 1st 45 mins then died down, had to go S&P to find some more band was not too noisy this time around. Great fun contests for an evening, roll on next year G4ZFE Apologies for the early keying problems. 100W to 80m dipole at 25 feet. G7PVZ High levels of static with added QRM. Made for an interesting evening. Very glad of the narrow filters and everyones patience!!! Looking foward to next year. GW3KDB FT1000MP 100w Doublet at 40ft. M0AAA I was going great guns till a G3!!! parked him self right next to me. Good job the filtering is good on the FT2000. It still made my life difficult at times. M0CES tried QRP and to no avail so ran usual 80 wtts M0KOP Had first qso at 19.08 and realised had a problem with the antenna, after om changed coax all fb and started again at 19.37 CQ'd the whole time and ended with 61 qso's so not too bad. M0MDF good contest - other stations could hear me !! M3WCK Good contest---steady contacts for 90 mins OZ3TQ S9 QRN but great fun. This log created using SD PA0FAW Strange condx, good signals but I think activity was lower, too much daylight for me to hear and work more stations. PA3AM Missed the first 30 minutes. Strong signals so it was hard to beat the UK signals. 100 Watts IC756PRO and G5RV. PA4NIC Already the last CC CW log for this year. It was a pleasure to participate again in this nice contest. Always good activity, this kind of contesting is really fun! Despite the summer propagation still enough UK stations to work! SM5BRG heard of this short hf-test from g3kaf half an hour before start. Just got time to look at the rules on internet before start. Nice to hear/work so many UK on 80m YL3DX Sorry for asking to repeat the numbers many times, because of QRN from local storm with flashes. 73! Alec |
SOAPBOX: 2E0AIV missed 40 mins due to phone call - drat DL4CF I had to go QRT early because of a bad thunderstorm. G0DVJ Long skip tonight. Late start and some antenna intermittent problems. Good fun as usual G0EUN Enjoyed, but band was full, even with filter in! G0FYX My best CC CW yet. SD excellent as usual. G0HFX Arrived back from NFD in Ireland for last 10 minuets of this one G0IBN Close qrm G0IDA This time using FT817 with 5W and a 90ft dipole antenna, it was hard work but fun! G0JLF Late start, all S&P G0MRH Very pleased to have the evening to join in the contest Too many other things have coincided to prevent participation this year. G0MTN Water ingress to balun after weekend rains shorted antenna. Worked a few people on the coax and then QRT'd. G0OKF Super duper is as said. Enjoyed CW contest better than SSB G0OOD no problems with sd logger worked ok for me G0RAF Learning cw - what a way to learn! Added problem - deliberate tuning up when receiving stations. G2AA Interesting conditions,think i worked a crash of lightning at one point but difficult to hear with the noise of the rain hammering on the shack roof??? G3GLL SD worked fine with WK2. Band a bit noisy from thunderstorms but lots of activity G3HRH Hard going in Cornwall. Quite a lot of QSB Most signals were much weaker than usual G3IZD Computer hang-up brought about 14 min delay so hard to catch up. it seemed a little less activity than previous CW legs of the CC. G3JJZ Rig - icom ic756 pro iii antennas - 85' lw G3LET Very noisy but ultimately was able to copy everybody. Nearly 50% S&P and surprised myself when no dupes were found when I keyed in the log. Conditions excellent apart from the QRN. 5B4AHJ a very big signal, but didn't call me! Thanks again to all for the QSOs. G3LHJ Enjoyable Hour & a Half - Good condxs - plenty of activity - managed to keep my Hole for an Hour this time Hi - must have had a larger signal. that's it for this Year - CU next Year god willing G3LZQ Never typed B4 with just 2-fingers on wrong hand..so S/P G3MIR hard conditions. enjoyable with sd. G3OLB Using a 2 element array beaming skywards! G3PDH Last CW of the year and condx pretty good but some QRN G3PHO Not up to scratch once again as I felt totally knackered after an exhausting VHF NFD weekend! It's a quantum leap from 23cm on Sunday to 80m CW on Monday :-) Nice to see such good participation from PA, DL, OZ and YL lands.. G3RCM Club night here so only a short time slot available for contest G3RSD used "sd" worked perfectly G3RXP High levels of QRN moving North. G3SET I experienced jamming by a strong carrier on several occasions immediately after sending CQ, but my callers persevered. G3TKF/M First time /m for years - quite a struggle with a weak signal G3TLH Band very noisy and hard going for last CC contest G3VCA Lots of QRN on the night but as last time, lots of deliberate QRM. A carrier switched on after CQ calls, three of our club stations suffered the same fate on the night-is it local to us in Lincoln,it was S9+20? I APOLOGISE TO ALL WHO HAD TO REPEAT NUMBERS TO ME. G3VIP RIG IC7000 10W - 50M LW - Homebrew Logger Band bit noisy, struggled with QRP. G3WVG ft1000mp (100W version) dipole at 70' Heavy QRN here lost me one or two weak callers. G3XVR Long and short skip - 13 DXCC countries called me. G3YEC Started very well and band in excellent shape then at around 2100 thunder and lightening caused much QRN. See you all next year. SD good as ever. G3YMC Good event, plenty of activity and despite earlier thunderstorms band quiet. Looking forward to next year's events. 73 Dave G3ZBU It was hard finding a free channel to call CQ as there was a good turnout. I tried running CWGET which did a remarkable job. I tried FFTMORSE many years ago and that was not as good, I must say I am impressed with CWGET. G3ZGC Frequency stolen at the start by a certain individual who obviously didn't listen. Very poor conditions for a simple wire antenna. Also very noisy tonight. G3ZHE single op 100w low 90ft doublet at 30ft and 30ft asl hand sent cw. Not a bad night for North Cheshire G3ZRJ Good turnout. Amazed to hear a station giving out 20 plus contacts after 3 minutes how on earth do they do this please? G4ABX Busy night for us QRP bods! K3 was wonderful :-) Weather was horrid! G4ARN/P Conditions good but problems at my qth slowed me up G4BUO Bit of a scramble doing the contest the very day after VHF FD, and not hugely popular on the domestic front! G4CKH First contest from my snug new shack at the bottom of the garden. Even though i'm not in the house anymore the xyl still brought me a wellcome cup of tea about nine o'clock....Can't be bad. Really enjoy these short contests....Thanks to all concerned. G4CZB Some stations seem to be 'testing' for an excessively long time just before the start! G4DDX First my apologies. I accidently deleted one QSO around the 70's due to panic with the number of calls. Sorry about that. Enjoyed the contest very much and for once managed to hold a spot after 1/2 hour. Used SD which worked well as usual. G4FKA Nice to be back on after missing the last couple of sessions due to training courses and work. Conditions generally OK throughout the evening; band very busy. Had to move early on because of deliberate QRM but managed to find a new frequency OK. G4FNL Activity levels lower for this contest.
