G8FMJ/P very busy thanks to all who worked me this year G8RCK Very Noisy tonight GW3KDB FT 1000MP 100Watts Doublet at 45ft. M0CES running qrp tonite. awful business. voice hoarse with shouting above the din M0CNP For the first time, thought I'd try a QRP entry. Quite impressed with the results. M0CUL Just giving a few points away! M0DCD First time on the 80m SSB contest M0ERA K2 M0MDF Very noisy on the top half of the band - not too bad on the lower end. M0NKS good contest a little QRM at this location M0RBG Good conditions. Very enjoyable M0SCG Not quite as good as the last contest condx wise but Very Enjoyable M0SFG Thanks for the QSO's good fun M0TES Busy and noisy but good fun M0WKR Great Contest M0WTG This was a loud one. Very Busy, but all QRM :( SD working well, as usual M1LMO Loads of noise. Very easy program to use M1PTR/P My first attempt at this contest in QRP mode on top of a nearby hill. Excellent conditions throughout. M3NLK Enjoyed contest first one since getting hf back up M3RCV Glad to find myself at home on a SSB Club Championship night! M3UJL/P Best ever score - shame I didn't make the 50 M5ALG Lots of qrm at this location not just on the radio!! SD superb as usual PA1SOP First contest G7SHG Very hard work, very noisey and some very big signals thank you to all stations for the points 73 G7SKR My score seems to be stuck in the high 50s with S&P. Must try and hold a frequency next time. G7VRK Band was full of big signals to night,have done better see you all next year G8FCQ Short session due to family commitments. Band seemed in fb condition. |
SOAPBOX: 2E0RFSVery busy band made separating out stations interesting 2E0TQR/P Enjoyable contest for my second attempt /P went FB much better than my home QTH in the dip. F/G0EDT/P Persuaded by a fellow member, F/G3MXH, while on holiday in France to have a go and support the Radio Society. G0AAA 100W to dipole at 65ft (FT1000MP..100w version) G0AFQ Hard work G0AJJ Very noisy but plenty of stations to work. SD worked well as always. G0AOJ Conditions were very good sd is a great contest logging program for windows G0EJQ very noisy. a few operators in same street !! first time on the contest for ages. very enjoyable. G0FYX Good activity, but QRM from strong sigs, SD used. Excellent as always. Thanks for the series of CC contests. G0GFQ See you in 2009 G0HFX started late, then phone rang for an emergency call-out G0HSA Beat last months score of 118 by 4. This included 1 duplicate contact. A good ending to this years series. Definitly returning next year. SD performed well as usual G0IBN long live cw G0IIQ Used SD again, worked flawlessly G0LHZ Qrm qrm qrm qrm qrm!!!!!!!! G0MLY Great fun, though very busy and much QRM G0MTN A reasonable run to finish off the season. G0OKF Pleased it was the last SSB contest. Again my signal was swamped by the high power ones. G0RXA My third event this year and I'm improving, I think! Was extremely enjoyable battling it out with some big boys. G0UIQ a good contest, tnks fer the points G0VGS Great conditions and some really big signals! G1JCC/P Just great fun G3GLL QRM terrible ! G3HRH Very busy. Difficult to find a channel for a run G3IZD Several layers of QRM to contend with and constant struggle to hold a run frequency.Fun as ever. G3KNU Only worked the last 20mins. Darned meeting went on too long. G3LDI Older call signs being rejuvenated, great idea! G3LHJ Still a struggle from down here - but good fun and nice to say LO to old friends, CU agn next year G3LIK A struggle with so much QRM, hearing aids were oscillating which did not help. Lot of very strong signals about G3MGW Big guns stick on one frequeny ,we should all qsy after say 15 mins. Lots of QRM and lots of fun. SD worked so well This is a great contest series please keep it going G3NDJ yes enjoyed G3NFB Good start - slow finish G3OLB Using a 2 element 'NVIS' beam. Conditions very noisy tonight! G3PHO Good conditions with some high scores heard. I now can rest the vocal cords until Feb 09! G3PYC Thank you EI5DI for your superb log G3RCM Started 30 minutes late! G3RRL Good contest again with some big scores about. G3SJJ Activity and propagation good. Lots of M3, M5, 2E and former Class B. K3 and dipole at 57ft G3SNU Difficult start here in SW - giving 011 to station in their 90's really frustrating. Things much better after 2045 so half decent score in circumstances. G3SVD The last HFCC for me this year! Now a rest 'till the next series starts. Good fun always G3VCA Heavy QRN on the night. Deliberate QRM again with a person switching a carrier on, when going to receive. Later part difficult with the skip lengthening and EU stations asking me to QSY. 550ft Delata loop at QTH. G3VEF Lots of activity but dipole slightly too long for top end of band - FT847 kept shutting down above 3.750! G3VIP RIG IC7000 10W - 50M Long Wire - Homebrew logger Usual wall of noise, glad its last SSB for this year. G3VPW Horrendous QRN, where were the GMs ? G3XVR Problems with dupe checking software, so several dupe QSOs G3YEC How do some do it ?!! serial 41 at 7 minutes into the contest !!!!!! Also when are the RSGB going to do something about stations NOT identifying themselves for several QSOs ? Roll on next years 80M CW !! G3YOA USED SD AS USUAL Very noisy G3ZBU I spent a day up a tree in the front garden and managed to raise the lower half of the dipole by 6 feet and trimmed the dipole length to resonate at 3650 exactly. Well worth the effort, as I manged to hold a channel for the first time. G3ZGC I am not a dummy load. I am not a dummy load. I am not a dummy load. I am not a dummy load. Well thats me convinced so all I have to do is convince the two stations who took my channel and the foreign jammer and I will be well away! Actually it wasnt too bad and quite an enjoyable contest. Conditions were pretty good G4ARI Interesting working the contest from the Isle of Wight G4ARN/P good fun qrm rather bad G4BUO Thought I was on for a really big score but things slowed right down in the last 20 minutes G4CKH Have improved the antenna this end, this was reflected in the much improved score over previous poor attempts Hope i can repeat the improvment in future contests hi. SD worked flawlessly now i've killed the RF into the PC G4DDX I can't quite break the 100 mark, perhaps next year, made a great improvement this year though.Great fun as usual. Used SD, it's so easy. conditions seemed very good to me. G4FKA Good rate at first but soon got sandwiched out by non-contest QSOs! Nice busy band to end the SSB legs for this year. G4FNL Lots of activity in this - the last SSB CC contest of the season. Looking forward to improving things for next year. Thanks to all for the QSOs G4GZB Enjoyable. Have heard it noisier. Enjoyed using SD G4LWB Band noisy. much qrm G4OOC The Band was very very noisy SD was a joy to use I would recommend SD to anyone interested in contesting G4RCD I found the band incredibly noisy this evening but stuck with a run frequency throughout despite sustained deliberate QRM which slowed me down a bit. Looking forward to next year already! G4RCG Conditions were really good on this last session nice and quiet for most of the test and a nice steady stream of stations calling . Did not need to go S & P until the last 15 mins. Looking forward to next years CC's already!! G4TPO Better than average a good night G4VUD Sd working well as always.
