G7SKR Dreadful conditions and a shocking
performance. 90 minutes of woe! Managed to work the locals
and a couple of continental stations, and not much in between.
G7SOZ Very poor conditions.
G7VRK Hard work - lot of noise.
G8FCQ So
disappointing. Will have a go next month as can't imagine two
consecutive months could be as bad ... or could they? Good skip
to GM. Short skip hard going ... even ground wave hard going.
M0DIW Terrible night.
GW0ETF First attempt at data with my K3 so it was fun in spite of the appalling conditions.
GW4VBE My first data contest. Propagation not good!!
M0ANM Hard going, as usual, from Cheshire.
M0DCD RX conditions poor.
M0LUY/P Noisy, and trouble with leads,
M0MDF What a lousy night! Condx not very good at all.
M0NKS Quite noisy tonight. Was hard to be heard on 10 watts.
M0OXO Enjoyed contest but heavy QRM.
M0VBY Really hard going - CU GN soon.
M0WKR Fun, but HARD WORK!

SOAPBOX:
2E0IMW First Data Mode contest. Band conditions poor.
2E0RFS First time attempting data mode - some contacts were difficult due to conditions.
G0AJJ Terrible conditions. Great difficulty in resolving signals.
M0CNP 'Fraid
conditions were very, very poor early on. Then I had had phone
calls from my children and their families (it was my 66th birthday) so
no further activity was possible. Don't know if conditions
improved eventually.
G0GFQ Difficult conditions - hard to resolve anything.
G0KDS Not a good night - antenna only 4m high.
G0KYA Hard work, long skip and program problems - oh dear!
G0RAF Poor conditions. Can only get better.
G2YL Poor conditions in North Yorkshire.
G3HRH Very long skip. PM and PA only decent signals on south coast. Gs very weak and wobbly, needing several repeats.
G3IZD Unstable conditions, but I am gradually getting the hang of this mode. S & P currently, but who knows?
G3LDI Awful
propagation, probably what we sgould expect at this time of year.
Heard SB within the PSK segment. The GMs were doing well however,
as expected.
G3LZQ 80m 4Sq as the dipole was broke.
G3MXH My
first venture into PSK31. Not much UK activity. Found
DIGIPAN worked OK for me but I need much more familiarisation of how to
operate it in contests. Good fun and I will certainly persevere
with this mode of working.
G3ORY Conditions
were simply dire in the Midlands. The selective fading rendered
even the louder RTTY signals hard to copy. PSK just faded in and
out. No-one in our club said how good it was and what fun it had
been!
G3PDH Another struggle with poor condx.
G3PHO Excuse
this pathetic entry ... lousy propagation all night! It was as if
I had no antenna. Only for or five genuine 599 signals - the rest
were in the noise and hard to work.
G3SHF Terrible conditiond - can only get better!
G3TKF RUBBISH!
G3TLH Conditions
difficult for QRP. Favoured GM stations. Was working RTTY
without a computer - sending RTTY by keying in morse on paddle key and
decoding on K3's LCD. What a great way to work datamodes -
enjoyed it
G3VCA A very difficult
contest; not used to giving my RST/No out three or four times - there
must be many errors in the logs this time!
G3VDB Terrible propagation - flutter, QSB, QRN but not much QRM!
G3VQO Exactly
on the stroke of 20:00 all my macros vanished. What with the
trouble-shooting and then re-inputting the data, over 30 minutes were
lost. Six QSOs on PSK then found no macros on RTTY!
Re-input those and managed five RTTY QSOs. Great fun!
Really looking forward to next time! What else can go wrong?
G3WRR Problems
with S9+10dB noise level, but worked all I heard. Hoped RTTY as a
digital mode would be more tolerant of noise, but apparently not!
G3WVG Tough going from the South of England.
G3YHV Very long skip - G stations were very difficult to copy.
G3ZBU Conditions
seemed very poor. Tried PSK as well as RTTY but not very
successfully. I cold not find a way to get SD to go into RY or PS
mode, therefore SD complained about dupes.
G3ZGC Very noisy but lots of GMs abd PA0 stations. All RTTY - no PSK.
G4EBK Another poor result from Eastern England. 18 Qs in first 40 mins. Condiyiond changed then only four more to the end.
G4FQI Were conditions REALLY that bad? First time PSK - interesting.
G4LMW Awful conditions though N1MM worked well for both modes ... just a shame no-one could hear me!
G4OGB Never
seen such a quantity of garbage on screen. Not one PSK signal
could be resolved, most RTTY stns that were resolved could not hear me.
G4WGE Think hard ... try and write something positive about this session ... and nothing! It was just plain dreadful!
G4WUG Interesting twist (PSK31 & RTTY) - shame the inter-G conditions were not good.
G4ZFE Very poor conditions. Slow going tonight, can only get better.
