M0CES awful nite.Nuff said. M0CNP Conditions were abyssmal but thanks to those I was able to work. M0CUL Another noisy evening! M0DCD Heard very little band very poor M0DJW good fun, although conditions not the best. M0FRH Good fun but hard work M0GAV Hard work again this time.Roll on the spring and summer! M0JEC FT ONE 100W exG5RV Doublet @ appx 30ft inverted V M0LUV Great fun M0MCX Some amazingly strong stations. How do they do it? I want their antenna! M0SCG Really had to stuggle with this contest all stations very weak and suffered with qsb on some signals all that being said it honed my skills in resolving weak stations The contest was hard work but enjoyable M0SFG Lots of QRN but still enjoyed it M0VBY Better condx this time - cu agn soon. M0WLF Sorry for any confusion, but I have had repetative jamming from a local station in Bristol and working split semed my only way of continuing in the contest. Thanks to all the callers who managed to work me. M0WTG Absolute joke! Even BBC quality stations in the clear failed to come back. One way propagation makes it like shouting into a cupboard. Lets hope it gets better. M0XDF Lots of QRM, some DL joining contest M0XDX Poor conditions again, lots of QRM still enjoyed it though! M0XJP very difficult condx but always enjoyable M1ADX Some of my frequencies will be wrong as I was switching from one VFO to the other and the data did not come across to the rig. M1EBV Hard to be heard with QRP M1PTR Band very noisy with only a few Gs audible here at the start. Thank you to those of you that kept trying; your patience is appreciated. Thankfully condx improved later on. M3RCV Noisy band weak signals so seemed more difficult to make 10w heard tonight. Simon 2E0CVN and I shared the 90 mins. M3TBK Very busy/noisy had the attenuator on the whole time! M3WYX A cobination of two sick children and other unforseeable circumstances resulted in a half hearted attempt this month very little heard from GM and europe surprisingly M3YOM Poor conditions again made it very tough going. M5ALG Band conditions here were terrible M6JOE First logged contest M6KAH Conditions made this a very difficult contest. Looking forward to the next contest. MM0BQI Worked all I could hear.......4 QSOs !! Good fun as always. MM0GPZ Worst conditions ever from here. I can usually work 50 minimum and sometimes nearly double that. I never even heard another station for the first 7 or 8 minutes. I rechecked the calendar 3 times to be sure. I was going from one end of the band to the other and hearing no contest activity except foreign stations working G's then some V weak G's started to come up in the noise. I decided to leave it and come back for last 30 minutes thinking conditions would improve. Still rubbish at the end. And this is meant to be the time for GM's to score big HI. There always the CW leg to come. K3,100w,Inv L, EWE. MW0RZC Good limited operation due to ice and snow on antenna |
SOAPBOX: 2E0RFS Very difficult conditions almost felt like I was in a radio black hole. 2E0SEW Fun DG4DW My 2. CC Contest in this year. I like this short test! When i have time we hear us again in the next month. DL2SAX Second part in this nice contest. Hope to work you all in the CW part. G0AAA Poor tonight ..not helped by my half my antenna being in the snow! G0CLP/P Terrible condx during the first hour coupled with snow a foot deep freezing and more snow huge north/south divide shown by scores achieved. How about a multiplier system for next year? G0DWV For anyone in Norfolk, the conditions were dire.... G0EYR Enjoyable if only the band was a bit quieter! Good old SD! G0FYX Good condx plenty of activity. SD logging program works well. G0GDU Looking at the big numbers received from some propagation favoured the south west. Conditions very slow here here until after 21.00. Skip too long for inter G working from this QTH most contacts with SW England South Coast and with DL G0GFQ Abysmal conditions we might aswell give up till April G0HSA What poor conditions this evening. The contest tonight was very hard work. Hopefully there will be better conditions next time. SD performed well as usual. Better luck next time. G0IBN c'est impossible G0ICJ difficult conditions G0IIQ Terrible conditions G0KYA Terrible conditions. Gave up after an hour! G0LHZ QRM QRM QRM and some QRM! G0MLY Even harder work than January's contest. Surprised to hear so many high serial numbers. Roll on the summer! G0OKF Waste of my time. SD always works G0ORH QRP in ssb mode is such a struggle. I just hope the extra points gained was worth the effort. G0TZZ Pure Hell but stuck with it. G0VDZ Conditions were not to good at the start, but did improve a little G0VJG dead from here G0VZQ Awful night. Hardly able to work anything on my ant G0WJX Awful conditions in the NW clearly better elsewhere. G1FON Madhouse with fairly long skip G3GLL Horrible ! G3HRH Quite busy with above average conditions for early Feb Apologies to all those from whom I needed repeats due to QRM or QSB G3IZD Very poor conditions indeed here in the NW of G. For some 20 minutes only 6 G stns heard one giving a serial of 60. Some very good serials later when I had reached 15. Same conditions for other in the NW will no doubt improve but oh to live in centre G3KLH Propagation was good on the south coast with high numbers of G's and GM's calling although most of them were very weak G3LDI Awful propagation again and very frustrating to hear others running a pile-up G3LET Bit of a slow start but finished with 12 in the last 5 minutes so there must have been quite a bit of activity G3LHJ Had a great time - condx favoured the SW at last but most signals on the weak side made it hard going G3LIK Conditions were rather bad to start with but improved as the contest went on. Some interefence from some splatter from some near stations. G3MXH Very difficult inter uk conditions again especially the start of the event. Some amazing scores from some stations so the propagation was better for some in other parts of the uk. Hard work but good fun !! G3NDJ very noisy condx G3OLB Tried S&Ping for 1st half hour but in these short contests it is much better to try and find a run frequency and stick with it! G3PDH Wierd conditions again a few strong signals and many weak ones but exchanging high numbers but not from this area in Norfolk. No GM's heard at all. G3PHO Atrocious conditions! Couldn't get a run at all so had to resort to S&P for almost all QSOs. Some scores heard were truly amazing in view of the poor inter G propagation. Roll on March! G3PSM Band very 'mushy'. Thought I had a RX problem but apparently not. Again SD did an excellent job. G3RHH Shorter skip this time but lots of QRM. G3RSD Used "sd" worked perfectly G3SNU TRIO 830 170ft doublet and SD G3SVD The contest seemed to start quite slowly but conditions inter G improved after the first 30 mins and the qso rate also improved. I am using Win-test here and did notice that there were a very large percentage of calls that do not appear in the Partial Check file. Does this mean there were a large number of new participants? G3SWC Had a good run for once on a reasonable frequency. G3TXF Conditions were bad at the start but picked up during the 90 minutes. G3VCA It was very difficult to pull stations out of the noise. I hope next month will be better G3VDB Hard going again G3VIP Rig ic7000 10w 40m lw - homebrew logger. What a farce G3VPW Good fun this evening. Didn't think there'd be so much activity listening around before the contest all long skip stations nevertheless was pleased with the numbers of exchanges finally accomplished. G3VQO Hard going and I don't do hard SSB contests! I'd had enough after half-an-hour and went to look for some paracetamol G3VUS Never heard condx so poor for first 30 mins only a handful of G stations audible and afterwards many fruitless calls whilst EU stations were v loud. G3ZBU very hard work with noisy qrm G3ZGC Very noisy but it came up at the end. Rig IC7700 100w to 132 ft wire up 40 ft wrapped into 55 ft garden. G3ZHE A terrible night in North Cheshire with snow and static. G3ZRJ Amazed at some of the scores, i've good ears and a good rig but couldn't hear anything like that number. I couldn't hold a cq frequency so i guess that made all the difference G4BUO Struggled with S+P for the first 25 minutes then conditions changed and I managed to hold a frequency until the end G4BXT Hard going. Poor conditions. No really strong signals this time. How 80m does vary! G4BZP band very noisy and few G's G4CLA Very hard work strange conditions some stations very loud others down in the noise. G4DDX I found conditions very bad. The snow on the trees seemed to be affecting my sigs also noise from pylons was bad. Can't wait for better propogation and of course the CW leg and no snow. Where would we be without SD. G4EBK What can I say apart from terrible. G4ERW Difficult going although propagation seemed to favour this corner of Kent. G4FAL Conditions improved in the last couple of minutes! G4FKA A game of three halves; very dodgy start good run in the middle slow decline to the end. Better than January though! G4FNL Late on for this contest. Hence only a few minutes active. Usual struggle to make inter-G QSO's. I used SD for logging G4FSU Much better condx than last month. Thanks to all. G4KNO Was it my change of antenna or was the propagation really weird? G4LMW A struggle in poor conditions. Some very strong stations just could not hear me at all G4OSB Got prepared for the contest but where is the mic? Hunted for the manufacturer's box in my roof space - and there it was - never been plugged in since new. Perhaps SSB will become a thing of the future ! G4RCG This was the hardest CC SSB I have ever done +10db noise and signals so weak it was the norths turn to get no propagation roll on the CW session you dont get sore throats with CW! G4TSH Terrible! G4VUD Odd conditions long skip most of the time G4WUG What a struggle ! Conditions got better in last half but it would appear the rest of the country could not hear Nofolk?! G6FOP QRP quite pleased as horrendous qrm inluding deliberate attemps at jamming G7SKR Very poor conditions here in Cheshire again. Could hear some UK stations at S9 and S9+ but just couldn't make myself heard in return. Quite odd. G7VRK Hard work G8FMJ/P Difficult conditions grateful thanks to all I worked SD faultless as usual. G8NRP Problems with icing on the antenna GD3YUM Very difficult for some time to work other G's band was very noisy and sigs weak or unresponsive GM0WED Well, it just shows one, this should have been a good month for GM/MMs; but like Jan, the ionosphere was shining on G-land. Maybe the Scottish government has put up border controls on 80m! GM3POI Hi SWR problem caused QRTall fixed now GW4BVE High QRM levels GW7BZR G5RV worked well. K3 worked well. Pity about the operator and the rf which i found about after the contest. But i enjoyed it!! HE8CIC Very familiar contest / Bad conds the last 30 minutes. Logging software Super Duper 13.26. HE8CIC special callsign for 2009 main call HB9CIC |
