G8LED Long skip again at start only the GMs were audible at a reasonable strength. Hard work just a short bit of wire! GM0WED Gud condx in the north--it won't last! GM3POI seemed like the whole of the uk was calling which slowed the rate down.Long may it continue. GM3VTY started well downhill from there GM3ZBE Terrible qrm! Why do I find ssb qrm much more irritating than cw qrm? GM3ZRT long skip for the first hour GM6NX ICOM-756 PROii & DIPOLE GW4BLE Weird conditions for first 45 minutes or so.... but then opened up for best QRP score to date. GW4BVE The first hour was hell then at 2100utc the band came alive with strong UK stations. GW7BZR Going fishing !!!!!!! M0CNP Conditions pretty attrocious until about 2100 then as if by magic a veil was lifted. Thanks everyone for the points M0DHO Awful conditions and skip for 1st hour. Really hard work until last 30 mins. M0FRH What fun M0JMO Terrible band conditions until about 21:15. Using SD to log - very easy to use :) Hope to hear you all on the air again soon! M0LCC Unoperable conditions for first hour of Contest M0LUV Scotland Ruled! M0MDF Condx were better after 2100 but still a struggle for QRP. M0NKS hard going in the beginning but got a little easier towards the end my 10 watts was hard for some. thank you to all who heard me and replied. M0POQ QRM + long skip = hard work for low score M0RBE Hard going again a lot of QRM. But conditions improving. M0RBG Very poor conditions M0SCG This was an enjoyable contest slightly better than last months the going was very slow at the beginning but half the joy was winkleing the weak stations. noise and qsb. conditions improved a little earlier than last months sadly nothing was heard north of the M0SRW Slow start and a duff clock!! M0WTG very slow to get going. very long propagation tonight M0XDX Yet again condx improved dramatically after 2100hrs! M1DSE/P Poor until 2100 then opened up 10w S&P with fullsize dipole. M1LMO SD very good program M1PTR Well that was hard work! For the first hour it was GMs and Europeans with very weak inter G. Last half hour picked up and managed to work a few inter G. Phew! M6LDJ First go! MM0GPZ Great start with a big advantage to be in GM for a change :-) But 80 Q's in 1st 30m with 49 in the last hour tells a story. FT2K 100W and dipole at 38". MM1HMV Horrid conditions ON3ND I like these small competitions... 73 to all entrants... PA3AM First time since long time in SSB. Strong signals but lots of QRM also buy enjoyable test as well 100 Watts from IC756PRO in my new open line dipole 2 x 25 mters up 14 meter. hpe cuagn in CW test as well. |
SOAPBOX: 2E0CBS Lots of QRM at my station. Very bad conditions 2E0JOX Very poor conditions all evening 2E0LMG Incredibly difficult until the last half hour! G0AAA 100W + dipole at 65ft. In Surrey the band started to open for short skip at about 2045Z. Intially short skip started coming in only at the low end of the band gradually moving HF as time went on. G0AJJ Very hard work! Signals better from North. Thanks to all for repeating info. G0CLP Very poor condx improved at 2115 G0DAY Just like last month all hard going untill 9 O clock then the band opend up for higher angle signals Glad it did or I might have had to log just 2 calls G0DMP Enjoyable but band condx very difficult QSB and QRM Failure of TS430S part way into contest. Had to rely on QRP for rest of contest. G0DVJ Very odd conditions ... long skip at the start then suddenly changed. Thanks for all the points. G0EUN Conditions very bad to start but improved after 2100hours. G0FYX Slow going the first 50 minutes. Long skip. Then condx changed and a very busy band for the last 40 minutes. SD logging prog worked well. G0GDU 10w with w3dzz @ 28 ft agl. Long skip in the first 70 minutes - needed more gm or gs in southwest who were generally +20db in east midlands G0ICJ Very long skip until 9pm when G's started coming in G0IIQ Terrible for the first hour then improved towards the end of the contest G0JLF Oh what a din! Picked up a little after 2100 G0KYS Great fun! Long skip at the start so mainly working east coast and north England and Scotland. For once I could find a frequency to call! Skip shortened the last 30 mins and had a good run. G0LGJ Lights fused 1/2 way through! Very noisy start G0LHZ Very very slow until 21:05! G0MRH Conditions the worst I can remember. Only stations heard from South Warwickshire were in Scotland and very few from the continent. This lasted till about 2110 hours when a few stations down to about a 50 mile radius were creeping in to hearing. G0MTN Ionosphere gave up and went to watch some TV. G0NXA Combination of NVIS aerail and long skip for the first hour, and high noise levels with many stations made going very slow to begin with. Things improved in the last 30 minutes. Need a rethink for March! G0OKF Rubbish - wasting my time G0PEB Good fun using 10w QRP, Heavy going for the first hour. G0RAF Lowsy condx then suddenly with half an hour to go ... ... BOOM! G0RXA Very hard work early on with Scottish & Continental stations being the easiest to hear & work. 45 minutes in it was if a switch was pulled and stations from all around UK began to appear. G0VDZ Hard work. Bands lousey G0VGS Conditions were appalling here. We didn't hear a single GM or GW. G0VOK Tough going for the first hour then very busy at the end. Great fun. G2AS The band conditions were very poor with deep QSB on most signals. Not a good night to demonstrate contest operating to our club members! G3GHS yes I did hard work G3HRH Very difficult conditions. Deep QSB and heavy QRM after 21.00 LOng skip for much of the time G3IZD Usual horrendous conditions in far NW of G These will hopefully improve later in year. G3KLH Stations within a radius of 150 miles were extremely weak during the first half G3KNU Late start at 2100hrs had been to see recordings of Countdown. Meeting Rachel made up for poor score. G3LDI Usual poor inter-G propagation. It did peak about 20 minutes before G3LHJ Condxs favoured the SW at last.- strange condxs SD logged well G3MXH Very noisy at the start but improved very slightly at the lower part of the band. G3OLB Very very very noisy but had a good run for most of the contest. G3PHO Must be my worse score ever. To hear GM3POI at 103 after 27 mins put a damper on proceedings as conditions down here in South Yorkshire were absolutely terrible while Clive was knocking them off like flies! Never has so little been gained from so little! G3PYC Long skip for first 50 mins then opened to short skip SD is very good for search and pounce G3SVD Not very good propagation tonight. Very poor really except for the last 29 minutes. The GMs really had it all their own way and were giving big serial numbers whilst I for one was down in the teens G3TBK Very hard going for first 50 minutes then dramatically improved but too late to catch up the GMs and Cornish stations! FT1000MP 100w Dipole at 75 feet G3TKF What a noise ! G3TXF A good night indeed for the GMs and those further afield. The first half of the contest was an almost total wipe-out for anything under 300 miles, but then in the second it bounced back, a bit. G3VCA A stugle through to 9pm then it improved progressiverly G3VCQ Very poor conditions for inter G QSO's from centrel UK but to be expected at this time of year! At around 2100 the G path opened like someone threw the switch! Shame it had not happened sooner! G3VDB The usual suspects all in the noise until the ionosphere returned at 20:50! Then no space on the band as usual G3VIP RIG IC7000 10W - 40M LW - Homebrew logger Rubbish for first hour picked up last half hour. G3VPW Hard going in the first hour then got very busy. G3VUS condx terrible again but only able to play radio for short time before going to another appointment G3WYW Noisy all the way though until last 15 minutes QRP was tough with wall to wall GMs at start. G3XVR A game of two halfs! 20 in the first hour 48 in the last 30 minutes. G3XYF why do operators say "roger" when they mean "over" ? G3YHV Almost no skip under 500 miles until 2100 then it all went mad ! G3YYD Little close in propagation until 20 minutes before the end of a contest then they came in an almost continuous pile up till the end of the contest. G3ZBU very quiet for the first half. G3ZGC IC7700 10w to 132 ft wire wrapped into 55 ft garden. Horrah got the frequency readout to work from the IC7700 to the PC. So you can teach old seadogs new tricks! Conditions dire for first 50 minutes. G4ABX Horrid conditions until the last 30 mins. G4ASR Noisy band. Many stations with hollow auroral sound. Enormous signals from GM and DL G4BP We obviously have problems with our aerial not hearing the volume of signals I hear at home. Work necessary however we did get a club team active on a club meeting night G4BZP Very poor condx G4DDX Hard work and very noisy. Mainly GM and EU untill 2100 ish.Worked more in last half hour than before Used SD as usual Look forward to the CW leg G4ENZ Slow start with a busy final 20 minutes. G4FAL Conditions opened up at about 9pm but still not very good in Yorkshire. G4FKA Dire for 70 minutes then doubled the score in the last 20 minutes. Roll on summer! G4IGN heavy local noise G4IUF Same as last month bad start better finish. Enjoyed using SD G4IWS Log entered after contest - times not true G4LMW 10W/ TT Orion/ Dipole. Seriously bad at the start but the last 20 minutes were much better G4LWB Very difficult v high noise level qrm G4OTJ First try with this logging software G4PIQ Very hard going for first 70 mins right out of propagation again here Antenna certainly not optimal! K2/100 100W Inv-V @ 11m G4RCD Tough Conditions until right at the end then made 10 QSOs in the last 5 minutes..... G4RCG The worst CC I have ever done only worked a handful in the 1st hour then it seemed to open up to G .There were some extremly wide signals about in this session. G4VUD Dreadful nothing but a wall of noise with stations popping up above it occassionally G4WUG GM City at first until 21:00 then wall to wall splatter! All good fun though.....Roll on CW. G6UJC What a night! Hardly a station audible above the noise until 8:50 then away we went. G7DDN Spent most of this contest running at the top end of the band and frustratingly working very few stations! Picked up a lot more at the bottom end in the last 15 minutes going S&P however. On another note trying my alternative callsign rather than G0MLY tonight. G7SHG very poor conditions thanks to all stations many thanks for the points 73 to all G7SKR Very hard work for first hour. Could only work locals and other club members. 9PM seems to be when the skip decides to change. G7VRK Can only get better G8CKT Only a few strong GMs at the start then it was wall-to-wall! |
