G0BBL First time participated and found enjoyable G0DVJ Nice contest enjoyable good conditions and activity. G0FYX Condx quite good. Nice to work some familiar calls and some new ones. G0GDU FT1000 WITH 200W INTO W3DZZ @ 28FT AGL Seemingly good conditions - skip seemed long but with very little continental traffic Last 15 minutes noticeably slow G0HFX lots of local QRM/N---only QRP--worked all I could hear or who could hear me. Tks for q`s guys G0IVZ Hard going from the South West but still good fun G0MRH A good session in search and pounce having come in for the last hour only. Conditions did appear to be getting worse in this time. G0MTN Missed most of the contest. G0VJG Not really my game cw as you can see just made few qsos give away few points 73 to all G2JL Not so good as last year; even more local noise G3HEJ Despite many promises from our club's members only 2 ops in this contest. G3IAF Emjoyable albeit slow at times G3IGU FT450 50Watts Ant 138ft end fed G3IZD The band seemed far less crowded this year compared with many previous making it easier to find a run frequency. nice to see many recently licensed having a go. G3JJZ Rig - ic756 pro iii 100 watts antennas - 85' lw highest score i have ever made in afs! G3JRM Very busy on 80 this afternoon with lots of very big signals heard here.Mostly S&Pfound a clear spot towards the end of the session only to get sat upon by some disgruntled soul whose idea of morse text was not suitable for any tender young ears. Ah well!!! G3KAF Antenna problem caused me to close early but great fun as always. G3LDI Activity seemed lower this year spent a lot of time in S&P G3LHJ All good fun lots of activity condx good - cu in the next one 73 de Derrick G3LIK Some good conditions throughout the contest. Nice to hear a lot of familiar calls Quite a number of stations were off frequency Think the power output should be restricted to 100watts Good to have SD for logging G3LVP At the last moment found that the PC wouldn't key the rig, Linear protection started tripping part way through. Lots of GM's -good show. Nothing from GJ, GU, or GI - poor show! G3LZQ Not quite as frantic as usual-several regulars not hrd was it the Man-U FA Cuptie? G3MXH A very late start but good fun and good condX G3MZV Hard work again but if it was easy it wouldn't be fun. G3NFB Plenty of activity. Pity i could partake only for a short time. G3NKS Great fun as usual. Last hour slow going! G3PDH Activity seemed lower this year and less Eu stations long periods with no replies! G3RFH Plenty of activity for the whole 4 hours. Very enjoyable. G3RTE FT-2000 - 400 watts - Inverted Vee dipole with centre at 52 feet. G3RWL Continentals upset about QSOs above 3560. Was polite about duration last year now I'm telling you - MAKE IT END SOONER G3SVW Slow going at first easing back into contets using S&P mode. AFS was competing with an FA Cup football match - Manchester United v Liverpool so I had one receiver on the contest another on the football. I lost about 40 minutes listening to the football match G3TBK Very slow in last hour only 2 Q's in last 15 minutes! FT1000MP + Amp 400W to Dipole at 70 feet Maybe slightly less activity than last year seemed to me less European callers. G3TKF Apologies to several that called me ...software problems ! G3TLI Thoroughly enjoyable contest Good conditions and in the main good operating Must improve my morse reading at high speed!! Lookng forward to SSB element G3UFY Rig - FT1000MP + Amplifier - 400W Antenna - dipole up 35ft Targeted by DQRM on 3563 and eventually had to move. Band noise never less than S7 and often over the 9 ... hard work! G3VCA Nice and civalised until the longer skip appeared - too many on computer morse - good job I can read bursts of 40wpm G3VDB A fun afternoon; rather slow in the last hour G3VIP RIG IC7000 40W - 40M LW - Homebrew logger Condx good at start gradually tailled off struggled last hour. Running 40 watts computer didn't like it if ran anymore. G3VMW Missed the first hour due to other commitments. Conditions seemed pretty good, although there were some horribly clicky signals. Used my new Yaesu FT5K and WinTest 4.7 for the first time in a contest. with good results but could never catch up with the leaders. G3VYI Band faded out at 1700! CONDX NOT GOOD TO g OR eu !! G3WVG 400W dipole at 65ft. Activity seemed a little down this year ..or perhaps it was just me! G3XTZ QRM S9 (or more) made things difficult! G3XYF Very busy some deliberate QRM G3YEC Same fault as last week I.E. auto key and PC lead became disconnected behind bench. Sorry for hand morse. G3YHV Great contest and condition quite good G3YLA Another early trial with N1MM and Flex3000 and W5GI antenna. G3YMC Good conditions plenty of activity great fun. Inter-G dropped off a bit in the last half hour and I started to struggle on QRP. 73 Dave G3YMC G3ZBU Plenty of action and good conditions. Unfortunately I had somehow managed to delete the SD macros and had to send CW with the straight key ;-( G3ZGC/A IC775DSP 200W to Dipole up 50 ft. At G3LLK's QTH.Thanks Gus. Enojoyable and good conditions. G3ZRJ CONDX GOOD PLENTY OF STATIONS ACTIVE G3ZVW A contest of two halves - the first half busy the second half not. G4AFS Really fantastic to see so many involved great contest G4AIU Very enjoyable. Heavy QRN at 1600 in IO80jx G4ALE Unable to use my normal AFS site due to the host being in hospital - but Peter G3RQZ kindly stepped in and let me operate from his QTH. Rig FTdx5000 to linear to trapped inverted V at 35ft. Conditions seemed a bit down on previous years - less Europeans but many GMs (over 10% of total). G4ASR Good run - clear frequency 500 ft doublet at 80ft with reflector element (below) G4BUO Low dipole this time centre up just 28ft. Was doing ok until 36 minutes into the contest when the Ten-Tec Centurion amplifier went phutt. So in the end I'm pretty pleased with the QSO total made with just 110w from the K3 barefoot G4BVY Only had an hour. Managed one search and pounce high to low! G4BYG Steady start but had Blue Screen halfway through which rather threw me off track. G4DDX Conditions seemed good with GM's better later. I managed to find a space to run off and on and enjoyed myself. I hope I have not made the same mistakes as last year. G4DJX Enjoyed contest as always G4EBK Enjoyable contest last hour slow as usual. G4FAL Same as 80m club championship CW but without power restriction and lasts longer! G4FKA Similar rate to last year until 1615 when the skip began to change. Last hour mainly S&P. G4FON It has become clear that in order to win this contest you need a signal that is strong enough to be decoded by CwGet and Skimmer. Good fun none the less. G4HSO An enjoyable contest. Many thanks to the committee. G4IUF Condx pretty good - slow going at times G4KNO First attempt at AFS CW. An enjoyable Sunday afternoon was had! 100W to inverted vee windom centre at 30ft. G4LMW Managaed less than 2 hours between domestic chores, but activity seemed good. Unable to use linear as it killed the XYL's laptop. K3, FL7000 (occasionally), dipole at 25 ft. 50W/350W G4LWB Enjoyable contest plenty of activity G4OSB I enjoy this type of amateur radio event G4PIQ FT1000MP + PA. 400W. Dipole @ 70ft. G4RCD Trio TS-930S at 100W into 132 foot doublet (fed with Wire feeder) at 40 feet max. Ejoyable contest. G4WUG My 1st AFS Only worked the second half but was good fun conx not brilliant thanks for the points all. G4YTV Enjoyable contest with no hassle this year. G7PVZ Needed the high noise level and very rapid QSB like a kidney stone (know lots about them!!) Goood fun but not easy with QRP. Thanks to everyone and see you on the SSB AFS. G7TWC Using Flex3000 this year was a dream. Fun and hard work as always. G7VJR 100W to wire + ATU QRT at 5pm but enjoyed the innings G8CKT First time on AFS - hard work but great fun! GM0ELP Elecraft K3 Acom 1000 80m doublet @10m. Hopefully someone will have recorded the event on an SDR and key click operators can be informed. Thanks to all who worked me. GM3WIJ HARD GOING FINDING RUNNING DIFFICULT GM3YEH IC75A 90W dipole at 25 feet. Good level of activity and QSO rate for first 2 hours but got slower towards the end. GM3YTS Got to the radio very tired after clearing the drive of snow for 2 hours. Thought conditions were a bit down GM3ZRT not too many Eu signals at this end GM4FAM Tough going this year but enjoyable as always. GM4KGK Lost the best part of two hours watching Man Utd vs Liverpool :-) GM4OBD Steady going this year. The 270 Hz filter was a great asset Typing better than last year!! GM4OSS Band conditions seemed good enjoyed this contest. GM4UYZ Enjoyed my time on the air as was nice to eventually get on as have very little time recently to operate. GM4WZG Couldn't take part all of the time but lots of fun anyway. GM4ZUK Hard work - sorry not to make 200 GW0ETF K3 and Acom 1000 to inv vee at 40ft apex GW4BLE Back late from pub lunch so missed first few minutes! HA1AG Nice activity! LY9A Very late start this year. Had to fight with the snow outside the doors. M0CNP A most enjoyable contest relaxed with the band closing down from about 1700. M0CZR Gud contest M0DHO RADARC A team. Good conditions and activity. An enjoyable contest as always. M0PCB Probably spent a bit too long running and not enough S&P so missed out on 200. Much better than last years effort though, not bad for 100W and a low doublet. M0SAR It was a pleasure not to have a high noise level! M3OSP Agood contest but quieter than in previous years M3WCK Could only operate for last 30 min of contest MM0DFZ Made a stupid logging error at the beginning and lost some time. MM0GPZ Inv L 400w. Dipole would be much better for this. MM0GSS First entry by this Op and first from this QTH. Straight key and paper log!! MM0ROV Band conditions were not too bad at my location.
