| The
Super League rewards societies who field teams operating both above and
below
30MHz: the winning society will have consistently achieved high places
in all of the
events, without necessarily winning any one of them. To encourage
clubs to enter
in all six contests, the Contest Committee will award a Certificate of
Achievement.
This will require a certain amount of organisation in finding
members with a variety of locations and skills, but is a reachable goal
for an active club. Please note that the teams representing each Affiliated Society need not be the same in the six events, and that the team size in each contest is standardised at four. |

The
results of six AFS
contests contribute to the Super League: (a) 50MHz AFS Contest, October 2012 (b) RSGB Club Calls Contest (1.8MHz AFS), November 2012 (c) 144MHz Affiliated Societies Contest, December 2012 (d) 3.5MHz CW Affiliated Societies Contest, January 2013 (e) 3.5MHz SSB Affiliated Societies Contest, January 2013 (f) 432MHz Affiliated Societies Contest, February 2013 The members of a club's team or teams need not be the same for each contributing contest. |

The
position of the Team or
Club listing for each Affiliated Society entering any of the six
contributing contests will be normalised to produce Super League Points
(SLPs), which are then added together to produce an overall SLP score.
The normalisation is carried out according to the following formula,
with the result rounded to the nearest integer: SLP = (N+1-P)*1000/N where N is total number of teams in the results table, and P is the position of the team in the results table. For example, if there are 50 teams entering the event (N=50), the team in first position (P=1) would receive 1000 SLPs. The team in 50th position (P=50) would receive 20 SLPs. The team in 26th position (P=26) would receive 500 SLPs Where a single club has more than one team entering any of the six AFS contests, only the SLPs from the club's top-scoring team for that contest will be included in the Super League table, contributing towards the overall Super League score. Please note that the allocation of entrants to teams, in cases where a club enters more than four stations in a contributing contest, is carried out automatically by Contest Committee software. |

The
winner of the Super
League is the club with the highest total of SLPs at the end of the
sixth contributing contest. The maximum possible SLP score (if a club
won all six events) would be 6000 SLPs. A running SLP total will be
provided on the Contest Committee web site after the scores for each
event are published. |

The
winner of the Super
League will receive an award as "AFS Contest Club of the Year".
Certificates will also be presented to the Affiliated Societies
achieving 2nd and 3rd positions in the Super League. Each
team member contributing to these Society's scores will receive a
certificate. |

A
Certificate of
Achievement will be awarded to any Affiliated Society which enters a
team in all
six of the AFS contests in the Super League, and where its score in
each one is 250 SLPs or more, that is, where it appears in the top
three quarters
of each AFS contest table. |

The
decisions of the RSGB
Contest Committee in relation to the AFS Super League are final. |
