The
RSGB top-band contests
are
some of the most venerable in the contest calendar. They
are very competitive, with DX often available. 160m is a challenging band for antennas and receiving skills.
Note: All stations may work all other stations. Contest Call Signs (SCC) are allowed in this contest.

score from this contest contributes to the RSGB HF Championship for UK
entrants.

General Rules apply to this contest. UK entrants are permitted to use Contest Call Signs (SCC) if they hold a valid NoV from OFCOM
(3) (a) Date: 21-22 November 2015. The 3rd full weekend in November each year.
(b) Time: 21:00 - 01:00 UTC. Contest transmissions
logged at 01:00 or later will be disallowed.

Frequencies: 1810-1870kHz. Mode: CW.
(5) Entries
must be Single-Operator.
(6)
Sections for entries:
(a) UK unassisted, who may contact any other station.
(b) UK assisted, who may contact any other station.
(c) Non-UK unassisted, who may contact any other station (including other non-UK stations).
(d) Non-UK assisted, who may contact any other station (including other non-UK stations).
(7) A valid
contact is the exchange and acknowledgment of callsign and contest data.
The contest
exchange must be sent to all stations contacted:
(a) UK entrants - Sections (a) and (b) - send:
Signal report (RST), Serial number, UK District code
(b) Non-UK entrants - Sections (c) and (d) -
send: Signal report (RST), Serial number

are listed at the end of these rules.
Serial Numbers
start at 001.
Entrants must log
the exchange received from stations competing in
other contests and from non-contestants. Minimum exchange from a
non-contestant is a signal report.

Scoring and results:
Scoring is 2 points per contact, plus a bonus of 5 points for the first contact
with each UK District, and a bonus of 5 points for the first contact
with each DXCC Country (Entity from the
ARRL countries list) outside the UK.
Duplicate and
incomplete contacts do not count for points, but must be
logged.
Two tables of results will be shown; for UK stations and
for non-UK stations.

Schedules (skeds) may be made during, but not before the contest, and
using only frequencies specified in rule (4).
(10) The
log entry deadline is set out in the
General Rules. Entries must be
submitted to
http://www.rsgbcc.org/cgi-bin/hfenter.pl, in Cabrillo
format. Entrants who have logged on paper can use one of these programs to
generate a Cabrillo log in post-contest mode. Entrants are
strongly advised to check their logs for obvious mistakes
before submission.

Awards:
(a) The Victor Desmond Trophy is awarded to the leading UK entrant in the unassisted Section.
(b) The Maitland Trophy is awarded to the Scottish entrant in the unassisted Section with the highest aggregate
number of points in the February and November 1.8MHz events.
(c) The top three entrants in each Section will receive RSGB certificates.
