RSGB HF Championship 2019
The HF Championship is not a contest in its own right. Rather, it requires participation in a number of HF events during the year, with the results considered together. The winners will have shown a high level of operating and contesting skill in a variety of contests. |

1. Contests | Eleven contests are included in the RSGB HF Championship, with all scores contributing to the result. No entry is necessary; a running score will be tabulated after each qualifying contest.
2. Qualifying Points | For each contest, an entrant's score in the table of the appropriate section (after eliminating non-UK entrants), is expressed as a fraction of the winner's score, normalised to 1000, to calculate Qualifying Points (QPs). So for example, if the winner scored 512 points in a section, an entrant scoring 384 points would receive 750 QPs. The maximum score an entrant can achieve, by achieving first place in all thirteen qualifying contests, is 13000 QPs.
3. Sections |
Contests and Sections included in the HF Championship are shown in the table below. In some of them, several entry classes may be combined as a single section for the purpose of calculating QPs. Some contests have several entries in the table, where the QPs are calculated for a section (or several sections) taken as a unit. For example, in the Commonwealth Contest, there will be four entrants who achieve 1000 QPs: the leader of the Open Unassisted Section (12 and 24 hours combined), the leader of the Open Assisted Section (12 and 24 hours combined), the leader of the four Restricted Sections (12 and 24 hours combined, Assisted or Unassisted), and the leader of the two QRP sections (Assisted and Unassisted combined), for the purpose of calculating QPs. |

4. Entrants |
Participation in the contributing contests is by single operators who must be RSGB members, operating in the UK&CD. Entrants need not operate from the same location for each contest. Entrants may use their usual callsign (as allocated to them on their OFCOM Validation Document), a Special Contest Callsign or (as a single operator) a Club Callsign. In the latter two cases, the entrant must show the callsign of the operator to be credited for the HF Championship in the Cabrillo file submission, using the "OPERATORS:" field, e.g. OPERATORS: GW4ZZZ |

The winner of the HF Championship is the station with the highest number of Qualifying Points at the end of the year, and is awarded the G2QT Trophy. Second and third placed entrants will receive a certificate of merit. |
